ЕрмиловЦентр – первый Центр современного искусства в Харькове.

Миссия Центра – популяризация современного искусства и культуры, создание полифункциональной площадки для демонстрации выставочных проектов и инновации в просветительской и образовательной деятельности. Среди задач ЕрмиловЦентра: активизация социальной роли современного искусства, создание условий для диалога искусства и общества, поддержка культурных инициатив.

Центр содействует развитию современного украинского искусства, его интегрированию в мировой художественный контекст, поддерживает молодых авторов, является коммуникативной платформой для украинских и зарубежных специалистов в сфере современного искусства.

Центр назван именем известного харьковского художника, гения дизайна и художественного конструирования, пионера украинского авангарда Василия Ермилова.

Established in March 2012, YermilovCentre of Modern Art is currently one of the largest and most dynamic centres of modern art in Ukraine. YermilovCentre is located in the main building of Karazin Kharkiv National University. The university has 20th century architectural heritage listed building. The centre interior space design project was created by Kharkiv designers Ihor Ostapenko, Inna Pedan, Andrii Hvorostyanov. The 1500 sq.m. multilayer two-floor space of the centre provides unique opportunities for creating and presenting art projects.

The mission of the modern art centre is in promoting contemporary art, creating the space and opportunities for communication and interaction among artists, critics, curators, and researchers. It enables to gain new experience and knowledge. It supports innovations, develops Ukrainian art environment and international cooperation, shapes understanding of contemporary art as a prerequisite to improve life quality and develop civil society. YermilovCentre today is a laboratory for young authors working in contemporary art and culture. The institution sets as its priorities international cooperation and cross-cultural dialogue.
